About Sam – Little Wood Studio

Hello and welcome!
I’m Sam Liddicoat, owner and photographer at Little Wood Studio, based in the beautiful Adelaide Hills.

Photography has always been my creative outlet — a way to slow down and notice the beauty in everyday moments. I bought my first film camera at a young age, but it was after having my own children that my passion truly deepened. Capturing the wonder of childhood and family life quickly became something I couldn’t imagine not doing.

​

When I discovered newborn photography, I was instantly hooked. There’s something so pure and moving about photographing tiny new lives; creating simple, timeless, and naturally styled portraits that reflect just how special those first days are.

​

More than 15 years later, that love has evolved into Little Wood Studio, where I now specialise in newborn and family photography for families across Adelaide and the Adelaide Hills.

My studio sits on our little piece of paradise in Ironbank , over three peaceful acres surrounded by trees. That’s where the name Little Wood Studio comes from: we quite literally live in a small forest, our “little wood.”
